To our knowledge, there are no studies of measured glomerular filtration rate (mGFR) in healthy Chinese adults. Our previous studies of estimated GFR (eGFR) in apparently healthy Chinese adults showed lower eGFRs with older age and a 33% prevalence of eGFR <60 mL/min/1.73 m2 (<1 mL/s/1.73 m2) in those older than 70 years. Here, we report the distribution of mGFR in apparently healthy Chinese adults by using an accurate method of GFR measurement.
